Pack your own snack
Whether you despise the airline food or have to pay for a meal, you’re better off bringing your own lunchbox. We don’t mean literally, but packing a turkey sandwich, salad, or whole wheat crackers and cheese onboard can take away your worries of what to eat. Be sure to also bring some napkins and plastic utensils on board so you don’t have to wait for one to be brought to you.

Set mobile reminders
It’s easy to get caught up on time when traveling from one checkpoint to the next while in the airport. Set a timer on your phone (or on your digital watch) for a few things: when to be out of security, when to grab food, when you have an hour before takeoff, and when to make a quick restroom stop. That way, you won’t have to worry about being late for anything – technology will do it for you!

Ask for an exit row seat
You may feel strung out and need to stretch out. While you’re at the gate, as to switch your seat to an exit row. You’ll have plenty of extra legroom without having to pay an additional fee!

Bring important items onboard
Don’t risk losing your precious personal belongings during the journey. Instead, pack your jewelry, meds, and other special items in your carry-on luggage.

Walk around
Take advantage of all the space around you. They say exercise reduces stress, so use the room to stretch out, walk around, do your daily yoga practice – you name it. If you don’t have time for a workout before your flight, there are plenty of feet exercises you can do to keep your feet on the move while in flight.
