Vroom, Vroom — calling all racing fans! The California 8 Hours by Pirelli World Challenge is only days away, and this is a race you don’t want to miss. Whether you plan on making a weekend of it or just want to visit one of the race days, here’s what you need to know before heading to see that checkered flag wave.
What Race is This?
This race is the SRO Intercontinental GT Challenge. It’s the last race in the Pirelli World Challenge series, and it’s the last event of the major season at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Sea. This race is also considered the highest achievement for long distance GT racers.
The California 8 Hours features some of the of the best GT cars around, including Aston Martin, Ginetta, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, and more.
When is the Race?
The races happen from October 26th to October 28, 2018. Each day features a different schedule, with events beginning at 8:30 a.m. each day. The schedule can be found here on the WeatherTech Raceway website.
How Do I Get Tickets?
Tickets can be purchased either by phone by calling 831-242-8200 or online by visiting this Ticketmaster. You can buy 3-day or 2-day passes for the paddock and general admission, or you can buy single day passes for Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. The ticket prices range from $20-$60.
